Qayyum meets Aitzaz Ahsan

LAHORE: Attorney General (AG) of Pakistan Malik Qayyum on Thursday met with detained Supreme Court Bar Association President Chaudhry Aitzaz Ahsan at the latter’s residence in Lahore, a private television reported.
Talking to Geo News, Qayyum said it was purely a personal meeting and did not have any political agenda.
The AG said he met Ahsan to enquire about his health as they are old acquaintances. He said Ahsan’s detention was a provincial matter but he would try to end it as soon as possible.
The SCBA president has been under house arrest since emergeccy rule was imposed in the country on November 3.
